Highland Hills Community Center to dedicate new fitness center

Who: District 8 Councilmember Kathleen Hicks, Parks & Community Services Director Richard Zavala, Chesapeake Energy's Charles Davis.

What: Officials will dedicate the center's new fitness center and give a tour of the facility. Event is open to the public and will have light refreshments.

When: 6 p.m. Thursday, May 24

Where: Highland Hills Community Center, 1600 Glasgow Road.

More information: Chesapeake Energy donated $25,000 to revamp the community center's fitness center, which had unsafe and outdated equipment. The facility is open to anyone with a Fort Worth community center membership. Memberships are $20 for residents ($40 for families) and are good for one year from date of purchase at any Fort Worth community center. Non-resident, child and senior memberships available.
